BDJ Property Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this website, viewing forms, valuations, applications and tenancies. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Contact details (name, email, phone, postcode) when you book a viewing or request a valuation.
- ID and right-to-rent documents during a tenancy application.
- Bank details for rent payments.
- Tenancy + property documents stored with our property portal (portal.bdj.homes).
What we do with it
We use your information to process applications, manage tenancies, comply with anti-money-laundering and right-to-rent law, and contact you about your tenancy or the properties you've enquired about. We will never sell your information.
Who we share it with
- Referencing and credit-check providers (with your consent).
- The DPS for deposit protection.
- HMRC where required by tax law.
- Our cloud + email infrastructure providers (Vercel, Neon, Resend).
Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to our legal retention obligations). Email privacy@bdj.co.uk.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we've mishandled your data.
